The forum is the part of this site that gives everyone the opportunity to join in. You can post details of yourself and what you're looking for, land you think might be suitable, your existing project, or discuss any aspect of creating a sustainable community. Please sign up and contribute.

Before posting to the forum you need to register, although you can read the general discussion without registering. Only registerd users can read or post information about people or potential sites. As the forum is open you may not wish to use your real name, and please be careful when writing postings. All registrations are approved by the Forum Administrator, and you may well be sent an e-mail asking for more information to ensure you are genuinely interested.

The forum is divided into sections

People and Places - Most important are the sections for people to introduce themselves and describe what they are looking for, suggestions for potential sites and information on existing projects. This "matchmaking" facility allows people to make contact with others who have similar aims. If you are seriously interested in joining in please sign up and post some information about yourself and what you're looking for. This facility will only work if lots of people use it. This section is only visible to registered users.

General Discussion - This section is open to anyone to read, but only registered members may make postings. It has areas for discussing the individual aspects of creating a community.

If you can't find the right section for your topic, please put it in a general section, or e-mail the webmaster. It's very easy for new sections to be added if needed.
